I specialize in digital illustration, and I take advantage of all the tools the computer can offer. Depending on the clients needs, I create flat-color and line drawings or fully rendered images, with strong textural detail. With my background in design and illustration, I also build Web sites that are creative, visually pleasing, and easy to navigate. To construct my first Web site, I taught myself to code HTML, but for the Web sites I design today, I use a combination of software as well as hand coding. In 1997, I earned a BFA in Illustration & Cartooning from the School of Visual Arts in New York City. Since then, I have successfully conducted a freelance business from my home studio. As early as I can remember I loved to draw, but didnt pursue a career in art until after 4 years in the Marine Corps (1987-1991). Following my military service, I worked in an advertising, design & new media studio in California for three years while attending college part time. |
